FirePower Kids – youth fitness and training

Our mission is to Build a Community of Fitness through fun and unique programming. Check out our exciting programs: CrossFit (age group and Junior Varsity), Cirque, Fun Fit Girlz, Youth Boxing, Mighty Minis and Fit Boyz. We also offer an After School Program, Homeschool Physical Education, Camps, Birthday Parties, Facility Rentals and Private Group Sessions – call us for details.

The FirePower Kids space features a reception area and cubby zone, and our mezzanine lounge has a parent viewing area and space for siblings to do homework, read or play quietly. On the gym floor, we’re equipped with top-notch gear to bring out the best in our CrossFit Kids and Cirque Kids!


Jackie Clark


Jackie worked and traveled within the corporate world for over ten years. She is an active mother of two very energetic young boys, and started CrossFitting when her youngest was a mere two months old. While on maternity leave, Jackie created two grassroots fitness groups for moms and their babies. Before kids, Jackie was a university varsity cheerleader and Ultimate Frisbee player, and has completed numerous 5K, 10K and half-marathon races. Jackie is an avid CrossFitter, and hopes to one day become a competitive Masters athlete.

Jackie is the guru of fitness for kids and teens! She is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and CrossFit Kids certified, and has her CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Scaling and CrossFit Judges certifications. Jackie is also a Personal Training Specialist, certified through the Canadian Fitness Professionals organization.  She has also completed Principles of Healthy Child Development and High Five Sport through High Five Canada, and Fundamental Movement Skills through the Coaches Association of Ontario.

Jackie holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is an Honours Post-Graduate in Sport and Event Marketing. In 2015, Jackie was a Mompreneur Award Nominee and in 2016 won Champion of Youth at Milton’s Youth Awards.

Stacy Clark


A former gymnast and professional circus performer, Stacy worked in marketing and communications before leaving it all behind to perform and teach circus around the world on stage, at festivals and on screen.

In 2007 Stacy joined Cirque du Soleil’s Casting department where as a Talent Scout, she recruited athletes and circus artists for the company’s shows worldwide. In 2011 Stacy became Acrobatic Coach with Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna, touring North America. She returned to the Casting department in the fall of 2013, and is now Head of Acrobatic Casting, headquartered in Montreal.

Stacy holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts, and also teaches fitness and Spinning. Stacy is a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and is a CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids trainer.

Stewart Clark


When not active at the gym, Stewart is VP of Marketing – North America for Canada Goose. He previously held the positon of Director of Marketing at Reebok Canada and has over 14 years of senior marketing experience. He is a former professional basketball player, having played in Europe after his varsity career at Bishop’s University. In his final year of university, Stew captained his team to the CIAU Championship.

Stewart has coached youth basketball camps and teams, and dreams of one day coaching his two young sons. He is a CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids trainer and dedicated CrossFitter who enjoys a milkshake once in a while.

Stacy Bio

George and Andrea Savard


George and Andrea Savard own and operate Reebok CrossFit FirePower. George is a CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Olympic Lifting, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Kids, Strongman, and CrossFit Endurance trainer, and Level 1 Boxing Instructor. As Head Coach he oversees all training and programming components of Reebok CrossFit FirePower. George is a long-time veteran of Toronto Fire Services. George was a professional football player in the CFL and won a bronze medal in boxing at the World Police & FireFighter Games in Barcelona.

Andrea is a former corporate marketing executive turned entrepreneur. She earned her BComm at the University of Guelph, specializing in marketing management with a minor in advertising and communications. Andrea is a national bronze level boxing competitor representing Boxing Ontario, and an international equestrian athlete & trainer, representing Canada in the USA, UK, and Japan. She is a Level 2 Boxing Coach with the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association, and a CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Nutrition, CrossFit Kids and CrossFit Endurance trainer.

George and Andrea have twins, Charly and Sam, who are FirePower Kids athletes!

Derek MacDonald


Derek coached CrossFit Kids at Reebok CrossFit FirePower for over two years before joining the FPK Team. He is a CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids trainer. Derek has two children, Elizabeth and Ewan, avid FirePower Kids. Derek has some unique talents: he designed and built his own house; he has a third-degree black belt in Karate and is a veteran of the Milton Fire Department!

Jodi Nieuwendyk


Jodi, a Special Education teacher, graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education. She has worked with numerous provincial and national championship sports teams as a trainer.

Jodi began CrossFitting in 2012 to enhance her half marathon training and instantly fell in love. She is a CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids trainer.

Alexander Elliot


Growing up, Alexander never had much opportunity to play sports. In his first year of high school he spent every lunch period trying to get in shape (he was overweight and had very low self-esteem). Between grades 9 and 11 he lost a total of 50 lbs. In grade 12 Alexander was given an opportunity that would change his life for the better: he joined Reebok CrossFit Firepower as a co-op student at. October 2014 marks Alexander’s five-year anniversary at the gym. He has grown from a shy seventeen year-old to a strong, confident young adult who is never afraid to offer someone a hug if he thinks they need it.

Helping people has always been a big part of Alexander’s life; in addition to being a CrossFit L1 and CrossFit Kids trainer, he is holds certifications in St John ambulance CPR “C” with AED and Health care provider CPR, and is working towards being certified as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR). Alexander is pursuing a career as a firefighter.

Shane Lloyd


Shane has been an avid CrossFitter for over five years, having joined RCFP when his wife Julia was pregnant with Logan, now a FirePower Kid! Shane’s journey helped him to lose 50 lbs; he is now an RCFP competitive team member and embraces a fit lifestyle. He began coaching in 2015 to pass it forward: he left the corporate world to spend more time with his kids and is dedicated to showing kids just how important it is to take of oneself. His entire family works out together at the gym and at home!

Shane grew up playing soccer and baseball, played rugby in college and in a men’s league for several years after that. He is a CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Olympic Lifting trainer. When not at the gym, Shane challenges himself by participating in adventure and long-distance runs.

Glory Dearling


Glory is an performer and aerialist specializing in aerial hoop, aerial silks, acro dance and partner balancing. She began training in gymnastics and competitive acro dance when she was ten years old, which inspired her career in circus and performance arts. She has always been a teacher at heart and is a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, gymnastics coach and handstand and aerial strength trainer.

Glory loves teaching classes and working with individual clients of varying physical backgrounds, including elderly individuals, children and athletes. Her training in theatre performance and directing contributes to her outgoing personality and creativity in her lesson plans.

Glory’s favourite part of teaching is seeing her students progress and helping them achieve their goals

Maria Rueda


A former recreational gymnast and competitive swimmer, Maria started CrossFit in 2012 and has been hooked ever since. She is passionate about helping kids achieve their fitness goals and loves teaching them how to have fun while staying active. Maria is also an avid tennis player and yogi – you will usually find her upside down! Now a McGill Martlet, Maria is looking forward to linking her love of fitness with a formal education in nutritional sciences.

Jaskirat Bajwa


Jaz moved to Milton with his family in 2012. Settling in to a new school proved challenging, and being shy made the adjustment even harder! Although he played various sports growing up, when Jaz discovered Reebok CrossFit FirePower, he fell in love with CrossFit.

Jaz began training at FirePower Kids and has since grown into the adult classes. He says, “Doing CrossFit made me a better student at school and transformed me into a better athlete. It also helped me to make friends and become less shy.”

Jaz will attend college to pursue his dream of being a police officer.

Joyce Findlay


A 2007 Provincial Champion in boxing, Joyce has competed in 40 amateur fights, in addition to being a Level 3 Boxing Official and a Level 3 Boxing Coach.

She is also an accomplished balloon animal artist and boasts an extensive shoe collection.
